During the holiday season, Junior Auxiliary distributes children’s books to Kindergartners at public schools in Lincoln Parish. Santa Claus will hand out the books while JA members dressed as Santa’s elves read the book to the children and model proper care of books. Kindergarteners are learning to read and this provides children with books of their very own to take home. The purpose of this project is to introduce children to the joys of reading at a young age.
